Anime Crusaders evolution guide

Plan the role, confirm the live recipe, lock valuable materials, and evolve the unit that changes your account—not merely the newest unit.

Before confirming

Six checks for every evolution

01

Role

Will the evolved unit fill carry, support, hybrid, farm, control, or boss duty?

02

Live recipe

Read the exact material, kill, quest, and fodder requirements in the current build.

03

Targeting change

Check whether evolution adds Hybrid, Full AoE, a new element, or a different attack pattern.

04

Material conflict

Confirm no ingredient is needed by a higher-priority unit or limited event craft.

05

Team payoff

Estimate which existing stages become easier after this one evolution.

06

Replacement risk

Avoid heavy spending if a near-term banner or update could immediately replace the same role.

Suggested priority score

Give one point for each: used in several modes, fixes missing coverage, meaningfully changes targeting, materials are currently farmable, and the unit already has acceptable stats/trait. Evolve the highest-impact candidate, not necessarily the rarest.

Protect ingredients first

  • • Lock base units and uncommon fodder as soon as they drop.
  • • Screenshot the live recipe before a long farm.
  • • Track event deadlines and portal access.
  • • Do not use a required unit as XP material.

After evolution

Retest placement, targeting priority, upgrade breakpoints, and team cost. An evolved kit may want a different tile or support partner. Only then decide whether premium trait rerolls are justified.
